Consultations on draft reference tools
Integral part of the GSCP methodology is to open all draft reference tools to public consultation before publication. This process is managed by each Working Group and aims at gathering feedback from a global audience of stakeholders (member companies, other companies, initiatives, schemes, civil society representatives, service providers etc). This process ensures that the draft tool truly references best existing practices and represents a broad consensus among stakeholders.
Comments and recommendations received through public consultations are compiled and analysed by the Working Group in charge, and the draft reference tool is amended as required. All comments received are reviewed and answered. We encourage you to participate!

Yearly review of published reference tools
In order to ensure that the GSCP reference tools constantly reflect existing best practices and represent a wide consensus among stakeholders, all tools are to be reviewed on a regular basis. The broad timeline for review is the following:
- 1st review 1 year after publication
- 2nd review 2 years after that
- review every 3 years from that point
These reviews take the shape of public consultations, typically running for a full year on the GSCP website. Please see below for a list of all reviews currently in place and follow the links to participate.
