Your input on the GSCP Environmental Reference Requirementsaccess the GSCP Environmental Reference Requirements here download the comments form here The GSCP Environmental Reference Requirements were published in October 2010. The Environmental Reference Requirements were developed as a best practices tool for production sites across the whole supply chain. The requirements reflect a common understanding of good environmental practice and are applicable to all raw material processing, agricultural, manufacturing and logistics sites in the supply chain. In order to ensure that the GSCP reference tools constantly reflect existing best practices and represent a wide consensus among stakeholders, all published GSCP tools are to be reviewed on a regular basis. The timeline for review is the following: - 1st review 1 year after publication
- 2nd review 2 years after that, and
- review every 3 years from that point.
These reviews take the shape of public consultations, typically running for a full year on the GSCP website. The 1st review of the GSCP Environmental Reference Requirements is now open and will run until end of December 2011. We therefore welcome and value constructive comments and suggestions. Your input should help identify best practices and should guarantee the highest level of protection for workers and of environmental practice in the supply chain.
